#14) I take being African-American for granted
Because I am melanin enriched, I don't feel the need to learn more...I mean, I know first hand what it feels like to be black. There have been times when I was curious about this or that and would go to the library to research it...often times when I get a biography it is of someone of color, usually African-American. But, for the most part, I don't make it a point to learn about African-American culture and history. And, maybe I should.
